"I hate to break it to you, babe // but I'm not drowning..."

[x] Lots to discuss...where to start? It's been a lovely week so far. K.'s been home most of the week and it's been so good to have some time to just relax and decompress together. This upcoming weekend is filled with TONS of work for him so that sucks (for all of us), but he's home tonight (working the bedtime circuit now) so I'm not going to waste too much time harping on it. At least I don't think I will. ;)

[x] I'm currently drinking a frosty mug of K.'s home-brewed beer. It's absolutely spectacular--an excellent "first run". Very, very strong--not in taste (which is just right), but effect. Oh, boy. I'm pretty shocked at how great it tastes. I never doubted his skills, but it seems that so many "virgin batches" wind up being sub-par. Definitely not the case here! So that's a big thumbs up. He's really pleased, and that makes it even better.

[x] I'm also trying out a tweak in my cinnamon roll recipe. They need to rise about another twenty and then bake for twenty-two minutes. Awesome! I hope my new adjustment proves fantastic. No biggie if it doesn't, but I'm still hopeful nonetheless. K. is hopeful that he'll have all the kids tucked in soundly by the time they come out of the oven. ;)

[x] My iPhone 4 arrived today--finally! I love it. I finally snagged the instagram app and am completely addicted. The "boo, hiss" part of this new phone glamor? All my contacts are MIA--totally, utterly, and completely gone. It's a shame, too--especially because my iPhone 3 was such death and destruction, the info isn't transferable. But as one of my fbook friends pointed out today, maybe this isn't such a bad thing overall, really. ;)

[x] I am obsessed with this song all of a sudden. Love it.

[x] Due to a miscommunication, our DT-V assessment is set for this Monday (2/28). No biggie, really. We did have the PT assessment and it went better than I could've ever hoped. LF scored between 12-17m on all four areas; her PT said that her visual impairment is the absolute only thing that qualifies her for services! YES! I was so happy and proud of her, I nearly cried. She tries so hard when working on a new skill and it's really paying off for her--so, so, SO fantastic!

[x] Snow is in our forecast tonight. I'm hopeful! I'm really trying to slow down, to breathe, to appreciate each day, week, month, season, year as it is. I'll gladly take more snow. I do love me some winter, I do. Gotta run for now, though--more to come! <3
