"Here you are down on your knees again // trying to find air to breathe again..."
[x] Today has been a very relaxing and simultaneously stressful day all
at once. But my sweet girls are sleeping peacefully, laundry is in the
dryer, the dishwasher is running, I'm freshly showered and smelling
delicious, and Bear and K. are building tracks (Thomas the Tank Engine, of course!) that are quite impressive
indeed. So all in all...I can't really complain. The stresses that
we're facing...they will work themselves out as they always do. One of
the best things about our marriage is that we very much like a see-saw; if I'm
stressing, K. is cool and collected; when he's stressed, I keep it real.
Having been in relationships which followed the "you're
upset/frantic/stressed so I'm upset/frantic/stressed so let's both
explode" mentality (more than once *cough*) I greatly value this "turn
taking". K. talked me off the proverbial ledge today and I am quite
grateful. I'm peaceful and relaxed tonight. And yeah, it helps that I
smell awesome, care of the gift Bear selected for me for Christmas. :)
[x] There aren't many aspects of my personality that I'd say I adore, but my ability to weather storms is definitely one of them. I am fairly flexible and wholly adaptable. As years go by, I value this element more and more indeed. Of course, it helps that K. is so solid and collected. It's good to have someone you can lean on. It's more than good, really. It's vital. And with each passing year, I'm more appreciative of unspoken language and rock-solid support.
[x] I need to share an amazing blog with all of you, written by an amazing woman. To say I admire her greatly, well, that would be a HUGE understatement. As a mother, as a wife, as a friend, as an individual...she is just so beautiful and honest and real. This entry says it all and then some. I tried to think of a good introduction for it, but words really fail me here--you just have to read it, you know?
[x] According to my order status, my iPhone 4 is "preparing to ship". I'm not entirely certain what that means (packing? finishing laundry?), but whatever. Thankfully, K. called and finagled an expedited shipping (for free!) so by Saturday, it *should* be in hand. Hopefully. We shall see. I hate being without a cell phone, although I must admit that a part of me has found it rather refreshing indeed.
[x] LF update: DT-V one year assessment takes place tomorrow afternoon, with our former DT-V starting services for LF a week from today (weekly). YES! PT eval on Wednesday night. This is progress. Mommy is pleased. :)
[x] I want this like the whoa. Bookmarked here forevermore so I can one day come back and purchase it as such. :)
[x] Do any of my veg/vegan/dairy free friends have a recipe for a dark chocolate cake that will blow my socks off? If so, could you please send it my way? Thanks much. :) I seem to be developing a deep love for dark chocolate, and I'd like to try to find the best-ever vegan dark chocolate cake in existence.
[x] I should write more as I have a whole list of blog topics a-brewing, but alas, radio silence shall prevail as K. is putting Bear to bed as we speak. More to come...as always. :) <3

Kurt and I are the same way, except that it's WAY more often than not that I'm the one who needs talking down from the ledge. It is SO SO SO SO important and awesome to have a partner who can keep his cool and be there and be solid. When drama comes my way, I totally say, "BRING IT," and it never ends up being flattering. It's nice that I'm in a marriage with the person least likely to cause drama.
Also, that yellow bag is adorable.
Thank you for sharing my blog post!
