"Take time to realize // that I am on your side // didn't I // didn't I tell you..."

[x] I left the cinnamon rolls uncovered last night! The remaining four (or was it five?) just got trashed--they were as hard as rocks. I feel as though I'm in a state of mourning. Apparently, I care too deeply for my cinnamon rolls, no? Good grief.

[x] K. is on OT tomorrow for the first twelve. This is a Very Good Thing since Beauty's birthday is less than a month away (eep!) and Bear isn't too far behind her. Glad LF is toward the back half of the year. ;) Thank goodness! So while we'll miss K. tomorrow, it will be lovely to see some extra $$$ on the next paycheck.

We're thinking about throwing a big party for the kids this year, although nothing has been set in stone. It's the only year they'll ever share classmates and while the expense of inviting the whole class leaves me trembling at the thought, I know they'd love it. And besides, not everyone would show up anyway, right? Right. So we shall see. A lot of this depends on our tax return; we don't know what we're facing yet so we'll have to wait and see. I hope we can do something special though--a big party for all the classmates (twenty-three kids in all) would be awesome. But just not here--I don't want to have to deal with clean up. ;)

[x] I hope Beauty picks a different, better restaurant than her usual favorite (McDonald's) for her birthday meal. Last year, she was passionately pro-McDonald's, and I have a feeling this year will follow suit. Why not Noodles and Company? Or the Rainforest Cafe? Or the "train restaurant"? Nope. Always McDonald's. At least she's a cheap date. ;) Bear will probably have us going downtown. That boy has taste like his momma, I tell you.

Oh, birthdays. How is it possible that I will have a five year old and a four year old in less than three months? *sigh* I still can't believe Little Flower is hightailing it toward seventeen months old. I was looking at all of her POTD pics from a year ago and marveling at how tiny she once was. My big girl! My big KIDS! Hopefully our family will be complete before 2013. We'd like to add one more to the brood and would ideally like to do so before 2013 rolls about. And then that's it. Four is the maximum number. I always wanted four kids. Of course, I also wanted four kids before I turned thirty, but unless a miracle takes place between now and November 5, I'll be at least 31 before we welcome our final child into our family. ;)

[x] I think I've mentioned it before, but Beauty wants a Barbie birthday. I'm geeked out like the whoa. I am going to make her a Barbie doll cake (something like this) instead of ordering one from our favorite bakery. Bear wants to help so it might not be picture perfect, but Beauty will be impressed. Plus, I can veganify it so I can enjoy it as well. Hopefully it will come out okay. Fingers crossed! Better start planning my icing colors...and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't totally excited to go to Toys 'R Us for her birthday gifts. Maybe the week after next, LF and I will take a quick jaunt while the kids are at school and do a little shopping. Good thing K's got that OT tomorrow... ;)

[x] All right, I've gotta get a move on. Lots to do before bedtime and a fair amount of things to do tomorrow before K. comes home. Love these quiet, at-home days with my babies, though. Today we all had a tea party that lasted about two hours in which LF and I were treated to many different items from the fake restaurant ala Bear and Beauty. It was pretty funny. I love these kids so stinking much, I do!
